Hi! My name is Jamie. I’m an associate entertainment editor at Bustle, a women’s lifestyle website. I’ve also covered celebrity news for various other publications — ranging from InStyle’s beauty site MIMI to Extra Crispy to Metro New York.
Previously, I was the Assistant Editor of Choices, a teen health and well-being magazine published by Scholastic. In 2013, I graduated from The College of New Jersey, where I studied journalism, English, and women’s & gender studies. I gained firsthand newsroom experience serving as the editor-in-chief of my college’s award-winning newspaper.
I love writing as much as I love ice cream (which is a lot). My favorite topics are pop culture and women’s issues. My work has been published in the following places:
My previous magazine experience includes time at Seventeen, Redbook, and Cosmopolitan. I’ve worked and interned in various departments — web, editorial, marketing, and sales — making me familiar with how a publication functions as a whole.
Outside of work, I serve as a campus mentor for She’s the First, a non-profit that sponsors girls’ education in developing countries. I’m a member (and 2012 scholarship recipient) of New York Women in Communications.
